'Whoever Underestimates AAP...': Sandeep Pathak Hints At Solo Fight In Haryana Polls

Haryana Assembly Election 2024: AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said alliance talks with Congress are still on but her party is fully prepared to contest all 90 seats.

Haryana Assembly Election 2024: Amid the ongoing discussions about an alliance with the Congress in the Haryana Assembly polls, Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak of the Aam Aadmi Party has raised the election heat. When asked about the alliance, he said that the party is fully prepared to go solo in the Haryana elections. He said that as soon as the party high command gives the nod, they will make an announcement. "We are ready to fight the elections with full force on every seat, whoever underestimates us will regret it in the future," he said.

The Congress has already named 31 candidates for the Haryana elections. Sources told ABP News that the Congress-AAP alliance talks may not bear fruit since the parties have failed to agree on a seat-sharing formula. The sources said that while the AAP is ready to reduce its seat demand, it wants more than what the Congress is ready to cede. A decision on the alliance is likely to be taken by Saturday evening.

AAP's national spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said that talks about the alliance with Congress in Haryana are still going on. "It is too early to say anything right now. The Aam Aadmi Party is continuously working in Haryana. We are fully prepared to contest elections on all 90 seats. Our organisation is strong on the ground. We will also announce the candidates in 1-2 days. But, we hope that some conclusion will be reached regarding the alliance."

Earlier, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha had said that an alliance would definitely happen in the national interest and in the interest of Haryana. However, he did not say anything about seat-sharing. Reacting to the alliance between AAP and Congress in Haryana, Raghav Chadha said, "Talks are going on. We hope that in the interest of the country and Haryana, an alliance will be finalised soon. We are making every effort in that direction." <p">On the question of delay in the alliance in Haryana, Raghav Chadha said, "Discussions are going on, there cannot be a ball-by-ball commentary on this. Hope remains."

Voting for the 90 assembly seats in Haryana will be held on October 5. The election results will be announced on October 8. Currently, the Bharatiya Janata Party is in power in the state. The state's Chief Minister is Nayab Singh Saini.
