AAP To Go Solo In Haryana Assembly Polls, Says Kejriwal. Know What He Said About Lok Sabha Election
The Lok Sabha elections will be fought as part of the Opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc, Arvind Kejriwal said.
New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal said his party will contest all 90 assembly seats in Haryana alone. However, the Lok Sabha elections will be fought as part of the Opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc, he said, news agency PTI reported.
Addressing AAP’s ‘Badlaav Jansabha’ in Jind on Sunday, Kejriwal said, "Today people only have trust in one party, which is the Aam Aadmi Party. On one side, they see Punjab, and on the other, our government in Delhi. Today Haryana is seeking a big change. In Delhi and Punjab, people made this big change earlier and now people there are happy."
Kejriwal’s announcement comes a day after AAP’s Haryana unit chief Sushil Gupta said the party will contest all the assembly seats in the state alone and they are also mulling the same for the general elections.
“We will contest alone on all 90 assembly seats in Haryana. Regarding the Lok Sabha, we have communicated our stance to the national leadership of our party that we are strong and we can contest the elections in alliance also and independently as well. The final decision will be taken by the party leadership,” news agency ANI quoted Gupta as saying.

The Haryana Assembly elections are scheduled later this year.
It is to be noted that with seat-sharing talks underway in different states, the Opposition I.N.D.I.A alliance suffered a major setback after Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that there would be no alliance with the grand old party for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing the media, CM Mann said, “In the 2024 Lok Sabha election, AAP will get 13 seats in Punjab.”
Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also vowed to contest all the Lok Sabha seats in the state alone.
