AAP leader Sanjay Singh repudiates exit polls; Demands cancellation of polls over mismatch of VVPAT, EVM

All parties should meet EC and demand cancelling of elections over mismatch of EVM and VVPAT machines.

New Delhi: A day after exit polls of Lok Sabha elections predicted clear majority for BJP-led NDA government, Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh on Monday demanded that the polls should be cancelled if there’s any problem with the VVPAT or EVM. “Is the real game about EVM? Has exit poll been conducted by paying money? BJP has been winning everywhere, be it UP, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Gujrat, Karnataka, Delhi or Bengal”. “Who will believe this” Singh asserted. "All parties should meet EC and demand cancelling of elections over mismatch of EVM and VVPAT machines" he added. Not just Singh, even West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee dubbed exit polls as "gossip", and said she doesn't trust such surveys as the "game plan" is to use them for "manipulation" of EVMs. The Bengal BJP was quick to hit back, asking Banerjee to "stop living in denial" as the days of her TMC government in West Bengal are numbered. Most exit polls forecast a majority for the ruling BJP-led NDA in Lok Sabha elections with varying numbers, as the seven-phase democratic exercise ended Sunday. "I don't trust Exit Poll gossip. The game plan is to manipulate or replace thousands of EVMs through this gossip. I appeal to all Opposition parties to be united, strong and bold. We will fight this battle together," Banerjee said in a tweet.
