World University of Design’s School Of Visual Arts Opens Applications For 2024 Master’s Programmes

World University of Design’s School of Visual Arts is now accepting applications for its 2024 Master’s programmes, offering specializations in Contemporary Art Practice, Art Curation, and Art Education.

The School of Visual Arts (SoVA) at World University of Design (WUD) is now accepting online applications for its Master’s programmes in Visual Arts for the academic year 2024. These two-year Master of Visual Arts (MVA) programmes include specializations in Contemporary Art Practice, Curation of Contemporary Art, and Art Education.

The application process is streamlined, with all necessary forms available on the university's official website. Indian applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts or a Master’s degree in any field, while international applicants need equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions.

The programmes provide extensive networking opportunities through exhibitions, guest lectures, residencies, and workshops. Advanced technology is utilised to enhance artistic expression and creativity, with a strong emphasis on public engagement through art presentations, exhibitions, and installations. The interdisciplinary curriculum integrates art history, museum studies, anthropology, archaeology, and other disciplines, offering a comprehensive education in visual arts and related fields.

A standout program is the MVA in Curation of Contemporary Art and Design, the first of its kind in India focused solely on Art Curation. This pioneering course delves deeply into art history, philosophy, and cultural contexts, teaching students to create impactful exhibits and develop a unique curatorial style. Applicants for any course must submit a portfolio showcasing their commitment and talent in Visual Arts. The application deadline is July 31, 2024, with online exams conducted every Friday to facilitate admissions.

SoVA offers scholarships based on entrance exam results and special support to children of defense personnel, educators, and national-level athletes. The educational programmes prioritize creative expression, helping students develop their distinctive artistic styles. The curriculum combines modern technology with traditional methods and encourages public interaction through presentations, exhibitions, and installations.

Strong partnerships with renowned organizations, galleries, and companies, including Niv Art Center, Art & Deal, and Navya Art Gallery, provide students with valuable career growth and networking opportunities in the art industry.
