UP CM Yogi Adityanath Launches Initiative To Upgrade Govt Schools Into Smart Schools

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath has inaugurated ‘Sampark Smart Shala Smart Blocks’ program to upgrade all govt schools into smart schools.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the initiative of transforming every block into a smart block in Uttar Pradesh On Tuesday. The initiative was launched with the implementation of Sampark Smartshala and Sampark TV in the Chargawan Block of Gorakhpur District. The event was attended by Vineet Nayar, Founder Chairman of SAMPARK Foundation, Deepak Kumar, ACS Education UP Govt., DM Gorakhpur Shri Krishna Karunesh, CDO Shri Sanjay Meena, and other senior education department officials. During the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of the initiative and its potential impact on education in the state.

“I am very pleased to have such a big-scale innovative program in our State. I am sure SAMPARK Foundation given their expertise and dedication will make it a success and the children of Uttar Pradesh would immensely benefit from it,” Yogi Adityanath said.

Sampark Smartshala is already working in 18000 schools in UP in collaboration with the UP Govt.

Talking about the program, Vineet Nayar, Founder Chairman of SAMPARK Foundation said, “We hope to convert these 18000 govt schools into smart schools, one smart block at a time, we have committed an investment of 40 Crores for this initiative with a hope of touching the lives of 28 lakh children.”

The primary goal of the initiative is to achieve a significant improvement of 30% in learning outcomes within the first year. To achieve this, the Sampark Foundation will invest in the installation of Sampark TVs. These TVs are equipped with various educational resources such as lesson plans, lesson videos, worksheets, gamified assessments, songs, and stories. These resources are mapped with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) textbooks for students from Kindergarten to Class 5.

One noteworthy aspect of the initiative is that the Sampark TVs will function without requiring an internet connection. This ensures that students and teachers can access the educational content even in areas with limited or no internet connectivity.

After a successful pilot implementation in Nagar Kshetra, the program has been extended to Chargawan Block. The program provides resources aligned with the state curriculum and SCERT, including TVs, Sampark TV devices, Math & English Kits, the Sampark Smart Shala Application, lesson plans, videos, activities, worksheets, assessment questions, songs, experiment videos, and a resource book for teachers.
