Telangana Board: Here's How Grade For SSC Class 10 Exam Will Be Calculated

TS SSC Results 2020: After SSC exams were cancelled by the Telangana government, the Board of Secondary Education Telangana and will be using internal assessment to grade students this year. The Board is likely to announce the results soon.

TS SSC Results 2020: The Board of Secondary Education Telangana or BSET is likely to announce the results of the SSC exams or class 10 board exams soon. According to media reports, the Board is likely to declare the result this week. Also Read: Pondicherry University Cancels Final Semester Exams; Here's How Students Will Be Assessed The exams for class 10 was supposed to take place in March, but only three exams were conducted before the nationwide lockdown was imposed. The pending exams were scheduled to begin from June but in a high-level review meeting chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao the government has decided to promote all Class 10 students without any examination due to the rising threat of coronavirus in the state. The government said it is not feasible to have the 10th standard examinations due to the Covid-19 situation in the state. It was decided that this year students will be graded by using internal assessment. Media reports say that the Board has received the internal assessment and they will complete the process of grading soon. According to a report by Times Now, unlike before when the internal assessment was just 20 percent of the overall grade, this year it will be 100 percent. The board will utilize this to give an overall grade point. Also Read: Here's How Centre Is Planning To Resolve Complains Of Parents Over Online Education In Telangana, about 5,34,903 students are studying in the 10th standard - having to study six subjects and 11 papers. Out of the 11, three exams have already been conducted for two subjects. Recently Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has decided not to force students to appear for the pending Board examinations of classes 10 and 12 which are scheduled to begin from July 1. The Board has given a choice between exams and the option of using internal assessment, pre-board exams conducted by their own school, or the subjects for which board exams were already conducted as the basis for determining their final performance. The results of the other subject will be determined by the student’s performance in the examinations held so far.
