The Headmistress of Kalikishore Higher Secondary School of Udaipur in Tripuras Gomati district, Sutapa Sur, Wednesday received the National Award for Teachers at a function in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had congratulated Sur by
tweeting about her. "Ms. Sutapa Sur from Tripura is an inspiration for everyone. Her approach to the overall development of students of her school has shown demonstrable success in the results of the students. She has focused on education through
co-curricular as well as cultural activities," Modi hadtweeted Tuesday.
After receiving the award Sur told reporters over phone from Delhi, "I teach in a village school, but the students get all facilities there. School has secured 100 per cent pass percentage in the board exams for last four years."
