RRB Recruitment 2020: Here's What We Know So Far About CBT 1, CBT 2 Exam Pattern

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is going to conduct Computer-based Tests (CBT) for recruitment in non-technical popular categories (NTPC), isolated and ministerial category, and level-1 posts from December 15.

New Delhi: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will be conducting exams for 1,40, 640 posts from December 15. Here are is what you need to know about the exam pattern of the Computer Based Tests (CBT). ALSO READ | PNB SO Recruitment 2020: Check Salary, Age Limit & Important Links For 535 Vacancies For PwBD candidates accompanied by a scribe, the examination is for 2 hours 120 minutes while for other categories it lasts for 90 minutes. There will be objective type question that will also carry negative marking for wrong answers - a 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Computer Based Test (CBT) 1 Exam Pattern: 
  • General Awareness: 40 questions
  • Math: 30 questions
  • Reasoning and General Intelligence: 30 questions
Computer Based Test (CBT) 2 Exam Pattern:
  • General Awareness: 50 questions
  • Math: 35 questions
  • Reasoning and General Intelligence: 35 questions

The vacancies were notified pre-Covid. There were 3 types of vacancies: Non-technical popular vacancies, isolated ministerial category, and Level-1 employees. For these vacancies, we received 2 crore 42 lakh applications". "The scrutiny of these applications was completed and then due to Covid we could not conduct these exams. For all these vacancies, a computer-based test is to be conducted. Now considering the Covid situation and seeing that JEE exams are being held smoothly, the railways has decided that these computer-based exams will be held from December 15. The schedule will be announced very soon," he announced. The CEN 01/ 2019 recruitment notification was put out on February 23. Over 1 lakh vacancies are for RRB level-1 posts while the rest 35, 277 posts under NTPC category recruitments are of non-technical popular categories (NTPC), paramedical staff, ministerial and isolated categories. The exams were planned to happen between June and September however had to be postponed due to the coronavirus situation.
