Punjab Board Class 10th Result 2024 Live Updates: The Punjab School Examination Board (PSEB), Mohali has announced the Class 10 results today, April 18. Students can check their scores on the official website at pseb.ac.in. Students will require their roll number and security code to log into the portal. This year, the Board conducted the Class 10 exams from February 13 to March 5, 2024, across various examination centers in the state. The exams were conducted in a single shift, from 11 am to 2:15 pm. Around 3 lakh students appeared for the PSEB 10th board exams and now they are eagerly waiting for their results.
The Board recorded a pass percentage of 97.24% for class 10 showing a marginal decrease from the previous year's 97.54%. Similar to the previous year, girls outshined boys in performance. Out of a total of 132,642 girls, 130,132 passed the PSEB class 10 exam with a pass percentage of 98.11%. Also, out of 148,445 boys, 143,206 passed the exams with a slightly lower percentage of 96.47%. Out of the total students, 394 students did not pass the Class 10 exam, accounting for 0.14% of the total students.In terms of district-wise performance, Amritsar has emerged as the top-performing district with a pass percentage of 99.24%. Fatehgarh Sahib is the district with the lowest pass percentage, standing at 94.51%.
The Punjab Board announced the Class 10 results through a press conference. Along with the PSEB exam results, the board announced the merit lists, subject-specific pass percentages, and other information during the press conference.
Last year, the Punjab Board class 10 results were declared on May 26, 2023. The pass percentage for Class 10 was 97.54%. Girls outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 98.46%, while boys achieved a pass percentage of 96.73%. Pathankot district boasted the highest pass percentage at 99.19%, whereas Barnala had the lowest at 95.96%.
The original marksheet will be issued later by the board, which students can collect from their respective schools. The PSEB class 10th marksheet will include the scores for each topic, with a “P” or a “F” next to it, which denotes pass or fail, respectively. Students will be considered failed if they score lower than 33% overall and in each topic.
