Rashtriya Bal Puraskar Award 2024: PM Modi Meets And Interact With Winners

On January 22, the president of India distributed the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar Awards 2024 to 19 children selected for their excellence in various fields.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, January 23, met and interacted with the Rashtriya Bal Puraskar Awardees 2024. The prime minister also distributed souvenirs to the awardees and also discussed their achievements. Notably, a total of 19 children were selected for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) Awards 2024. The award is given to children in the 5-18 age group for exceptional achievements. The award is presented to students for their excellence in the fields of Bravery, Art & Culture, Environment, Innovation, Science & Technology, Social Service and Sports that deserve national recognition. Each student shortlisted for the PMRBP Award is given a medal, certificate and a citation booklet.

Among the 19 children selected for the PMRBP Awards 2024, one child each was shortlisted for Bravery, Science & Technology, and Innovation categories, while four children were shortlisted for the Social Science category. While five children were selected from the Sports category, a total of seven children were selected for the Art and Culture category. 

Earlier on January 19, the centre through a PIB release notified the list of 19 students selected for the awards this year. On January 22, President Droupadi Murmu conferred the awards to the shortlisted students in an event held at the Vignan Bhavan in New Delhi. The award was conferred to the students alongside the grand Ram Mandir Inauguration event in Ayodhya. While PM Modi did the pran-pratishtha of Ram Lalla’s grand new temple, the inauguration ceremony witnessed several VVIPs like RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Industrialist Mukesh Ambani, and several other dignitaries.
