Noida Schools Timings Changed From Jan 18 Due To Cold Weather

All schools in Noida and Greater Noida for Classes from nursery to 8 will resume at 10 am from January 18 onwards.

Noida: Due to cold weather conditions, classes from nursery to 8 in all schools of Noida and Greater Noida will commence at 10 am starting from January 18. This timing adjustment will be in effect until further orders from the district administration, said Gautam Buddh Nagar Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar.

"In compliance with the instructions given by the District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar, in view of the dense fog and extreme cold, classes in all schools from nursery to 8 will be conducted from 10 am from January 18 till further orders," Panwar stated in the order.

The officer also called for the strict enforcement of the order regarding the change in school timings.

Previously, classes from nursery to 8 were suspended until January 16 due to the prevailing cold weather conditions. For students in grades 9 to 12, the school timings were adjusted last week to 10 am to 3 pm, as per a separate order issued by District Inspector of Schools Dharmveer Singh.

This timing for Classes 9 to 12 will continue till January 20, the order had stated. Government schools in Noida usually follow a 9 am to 3 pm schedule in winters.

Schools And Other Institutions To Remain Closed In These States On January 22

As the 'pran prathishtha' ceremony for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya approaches on January 22, several Indian states have declared this day a public holiday to honor the historic Hindu event. In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the closure of educational institutions and liquor shops will remain closed throughout the state on the day of the ceremony.

Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has declared January 22 as a school holiday, urging people to celebrate it like a festival. A dry day has been announced, with orders to close all types of shops, including liquor and Bhang outlets.

In Goa, the state government has officially declared a holiday for government employees and schools in acknowledgment of the 'pran pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya.

Chhattisgarh's government, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has declared a holiday for all state government schools and colleges on January 22 to commemorate the consecration ceremony of the new idol at the Ram Mandir. The announcement was made through social media, emphasizing the significance of the event.

Haryana has also declared the closure of schools on January 22 in view of the Ram Mandir Inauguration. Additionally, the consumption of liquor will not be permitted anywhere in the state on the day of the consecration ceremony. The grand ceremony will be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the attendance of various VVIPs, marking a momentous occasion in Hindu history.
