CBSE Issues Notice: In a recent announcement, the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has clarified that there have been no changes in the curriculum in the majority of classes for the upcoming academic year. Schools have been instructed to continue using the same textbooks as the previous year for all classes, except for Classes 3 and 6. CBSE made this announcement through their official X handle. The NCERT had earlier planned to introduce new textbooks for all grades up to class 12th in the upcoming academic year; the deadline for submitting drafts to the NCERT by all curricular area groups responsible for drafting textbooks was February 10, 2024. However, the CBSE notice has now made it clear that there will be no change in the curriculum, and textbooks will remain unchanged for all classes other than 3 and 6.

"With the adoption of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education - 2023 by CBSE, schools are advised to align their practices with the recommendations delineated in NCF-SE-2023. This includes adherence to guidelines concerning content, pedagogical strategies, assessment methodologies, and other pertinent areas as communicated by the Board from time to time," the official notice reads.
