NIRF Rankings 2021: IISc Bengaluru Ranked No.1 University, Check Out Top 10 Universities Of India

IISc Bengaluru has topped this ranking list issued by NIRF. JNU and BHU have ranked second and third respectively.

New Delhi: IISc Bengaluru has topped the list of Top 10 universities issued by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). This list was released by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday.

JNU and BHU are ranked at second and third positions respectively. In the overall category, IIT Madras has secured the top position, while IISc Bengaluru and IIT Bombay have ranked second and third respectively.

  3. BHU, Varanasi
  4. Calcutta University, Kolkata
  5. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore
  6. Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi
  7. Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal
  8. Jadavpur University, Kolkata
  9. University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad
  10. Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh

Delhi's Miranda House Tops List Of Colleges: NIRF Rankings 2021

This year, a list has been released for 11 categories, with a new category of research institutes included. Miranda House of Delhi University has topped the college category for the fifth year in a row. Delhi's Lady Shriram College for Women and Loyola College in Chennai have secured the second and third positions respectively.

5 out of the top 10 colleges are affiliated with Delhi University, namely Miranda House (Rank 1), Lady Shri Ram College for Women (Rank 2), St. Stephen's College, Delhi (Rank 8), Hindu College (Rank 9), and Lady Shriram College of Commerce (Rank 10).
