NEET PG 2024 Exam: NBEMS Reassigns Centres; Majority Of Students Remain Unsatisfied

NEET PG 2024: The National Examination Board for Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has re-assigned the exam centres.

New Delhi: In response to the recent controversy over distant examination centres, some NEET PG 2024 candidates have been reassigned exam centres. Students, doctors' associations, and MPs have urged Union Health Minister JP Nadda to re-evaluate the test centres assigned to candidates. However, the NEET PG aspirants remain dissatisfied. Some have not received any emails regarding their exam centre allotment, while others have been reassigned to less favorable cities.

According to students, some candidates received relief, but for the majority, the centre did not change.

Talking to ABP LIVE, an aspirant, Priyanka, said, "I didn't choose Kerala but ended up getting Kerala. With the current flood-like situation there, how can I travel to Kerala from West Bengal? I have raised the same issue through the grievance portal and the helpdesk but haven't received any help."

Dr. Akshay Tripathi, who was initially allotted Delhi, has now been reassigned to Patna, which is much farther from his home. "Another mistake by NBE. I am currently in Ambala. Initially, I was allotted Delhi, but now my exam centre has been changed to Patna (1300 km away), which I never chose," Dr. Akshay posted on X.

Another aspirant, Akshay, said, "I have already booked air tickets for my friend, my wife, and myself for the NEET exam to Vizag from Kerala, round trip. Now, the exam location has been changed to Salem, Tamil Nadu."
