NEET PG 2024 Counselling Delay Sparks Distress; Doctors Urge Health Minister To Intervene
Doctors are urging Health Minister JP Nadda to intervene in the NEET PG 2024 counselling delay, which is causing distress among students.
In a letter to Nadda, the United Doctors’ Front Association (UDFA) said, "As the NEET PG examination was conducted on August 11 and the results were declared on August 23, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) started the registration process on September 20. However, as of today, there has been no further progress on essential aspects such as the final date of registration, information brochure, seat matrix, or counselling schedule. The MCC website continues to display a message that the updates will be available soon, leaving aspirants in a state of prolonged uncertainty."
"After 45 days of the results and 15 days into the registration process, the lack of clarity and action is adding to the mental and financial stress of the students and their families. The undue delay in initiating the counselling is causing distress, and it jeopardizes the timely commencement of the academic session," the letter added.

Notably, the registration for NEET PG 2024 Counselling Round 1 started on September 20, 2024. Candidates who took the exam can register for the counselling process on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
