NEET Exam Preparation Tips: With Just Few Weeks Left, Here Are 8 Tips To Make Your Final Prep Effective

NEET Exams 2020: The government has confirmed that the NEET Exams are not going to be postponed, the exam will be conducted on September 13, after being postponed for months, the Ministry of Education has finally decided to stick to his schedule. NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam is a medical entrance examination for undergraduate medical and dental courses in government or private medical and dental colleges in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and each year almost 16 lakh students apply. With so many students up to grab seats, the preparation has to be thorough and smart.

Here are some tips that you should keep in mind while preparing for your exams
- With less time avoid new topics: Stick to what you have studied so far, considering the exam is next month, it is best to avoid starting up new topics.
- 10 hours for preparation: Dedicate a big chunk of your day to prepare, it is commonly said that you need 10 hours a day to prepare for NEET no matter how many hours you put it, make sure you are completely focused, remove distraction from your study area.
- Prepare a schedule: This will help you to make sure you stick to your time, whether it is by creating a to-do list or by setting alarms or even if it by creating a time table, set schedules so that you cover everything you have studied.
- Keep your notes ready: Your notes should be handy and easy to understand as they are meant to aid you to recall all that you have studied when you read your notes.
- Mock tests: Take mock tests, for competitive exams such as NEET it is important to know how to manage your time, aside from testing your knowledge, you’ll also learn how to time your paper. There are some available in the National Testing Agency (NTA) website. The NTA has also provided content-based lectures on the site.
- Books for NEET: It is advisable to prioritise NCERT books so go through the textbooks of Physics, chemistry, and biology from class XI and XII. - Get adequate rest: Don’t forget your 6-8 hours of sleep, in order to make sure you remember everything on the day of the exam, you mustn’t be tired so for that sufficient sleep and a healthy diet is important!
- Keep stress away: Don’t indulge in self-doubt, do not mull over your mistakes. While stress is natural thing, getting too involved with those thoughts will make you anxious and that must be avoided during the last month of your exams. Stay positive and study hard!
