L&T Signs MoU With IIT Indore For Research In Renewable Energy Management
L&T (Larsen & Toubro) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Indore to collaborate on research initiatives in the field of renewable energy management.
New Delhi: Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the engineering and construction conglomerate has announced a collaboration with IIT Indore to engage in joint research and development initiatives across diverse domains such as renewable energy management and control software, as reported by PTI. This memorandum of understanding was formalized by the digital energy solutions division within L&T Construction's power transmission and distribution business.
The agreement was signed "to explore and work on activities through the framework set-up across various avenues of engagement. This initiative will drive industry-academia collaboration to advance research and development in renewable energy integration and control technologies," the company said in a statement.
Through this engagement, L&T's smart grid solution centre of excellence will be established to collaborate with the students' learning and experience programme at IIT Indore.

The Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) is an institution of national significance situated in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Established in 2009, it is among the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) initiated by the Indian government in the same year. IIT Indore holds official recognition as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. The institute's campus is situated at Simrol, Khandwa Road, covering an expansive area of 501.42 acres. In October 2015, IIT Indore transitioned from its temporary rented campuses to its permanent campus in Simrol.

IIT Indore's central library, known as the Learning Resource Centre, is well-equipped with a range of online information resources. The library offers its users access to an extensive collection of nearly 3,800 electronic journals. Additionally, it provides access to various databases, including the ACM Digital Library, IEEE Xplore digital library, Science Direct, MathSciNet, JSTOR, SciFinder, Taylor and Francis, Wiley, and Springer. To enhance the user experience, the library also features air-conditioned reading halls and Wi-Fi connectivity for students and researchers.
