KCET 2023: KEA Announces Exam Dates, Schedule Likely To Be Released Soon

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the KCET Exam Schedule 2023. Interested candidates looking forward to appearing for the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) can check the complete KCET 2023 schedule on the official website - kea.kar.nic.in.

As per the official schedule, the KCET 2023 Exam will be held on May 20, and 21, 2023. The test will be held in the CBT (Computer Based Test) mode and have a maximum time duration of three hours. 

Importantly, candidates may note that although the KEA has notified the KCET 2023 Exam Dates, it has yet to announce the KCET 2023 Application Process and Timeline. However, the KEA is likely to announce the KCET 2023 Registration dates soon. 

The KCET is an annual state-level entrance exam conducted by the KEA for admissions into undergraduate courses offered by various colleges, universities, and higher institutions across the state of Karnataka. Last year, the KCET 2022 registration count was 2,16,559, where 2,10,829 students appeared for the test.

Owing to delays induced by the Covid-19 pandemic, the KEA concluded the KCET 2022 counselling not long back. The result for the KCET second extended round counselling 2022 was declared by the KEA on November 30, 2022. Candidates shortlisted for admissions in the KCET 2022 second extended round counselling were required to report at their respective allotted college by December 3, 2022. 

KCET 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The basic eligibility criteria to apply for the KCET Exam is that interested candidates must have passed Class 12 Exam from a recognized university or board, with the concerned subjects desirable for the course they seek admission in. Moreover, candidates must have studied English as a compulsory subject in Class 12. 

Moreover, candidate should have studied in one or more Government or Government recognized educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on 1st July 2023 and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination from Karnataka State.
