Paramilitary Forces Jobs 2021: Recruitment Drive For Director Generals, Other Posts After Aug 15

A top Home Ministry official informed ABP News that the position of the Director Generals of eight departments under the central government are lying vacant at this time.

New Delhi: The Central Government will be conducting a recruitment drive to fill vacancies of 8 Director Generals, including various vacant posts at Central Paramilitary forces after August 15, 2021. 

A top Home Ministry official informed ABP News that the position of the Director Generals of eight departments under the central government are lying vacant at this time and the work of the  Director Generals has been given to other officers as an additional charge.

According to the information received, the major departments in which the posts of Director Generals are lying vacant are the Border Security Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Narcotics Control Bureau, Bureau of Police Research and Development, Special Protection Group, National Investigation Agency, and National Institute of Criminology. 

According to the information received, the post of Director General of Border Security Force and Narcotics Control Bureau is lying vacant after the transfer of former chief Rakesh Asthana as the Delhi Police Commissioner. The post of the Central Industrial Security Force chief has been lying vacant after his former chief became the CBI director. The post of Railway Protection Force chief has been lying vacant after the retirement of former DG Arun Kumar.

In all these places other officers have been assigned the additional work. Interestingly, these include Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police SS Deswal who has been given additional charge of Border Security Force and this is the sixth time that SS Deswal has been assigned additional charge of other forces. Mr. SS Deswal himself is also retiring from the post of ITBP chief on August 31, 2021.

In such a situation, including his post  the central government will have to conduct a recruitment drive to fill the posts of the Director Generals of a total of 9 departments this month.
