The recruitment drive includes openings for Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak roles. The vacancies span various states, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria for India Post GDS Recruitment

Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old. A Class-10 pass certificate with Mathematics and English as subjects from a recognised board is mandatory. Candidates should also have proficiency in the local language up to Class-10 level and possess basic computer knowledge. Additionally, the ability to ride a bicycle/ two-wheeler and a separate means of livelihood is required. "A Sevak (Gramin Dak Sewak) should have an other source of income besides the allowances to be paid by the Government for adequate means of livelihood for himself and his family," the notification read.

Selection Process for India Post GDS Recruitment

The selection process does not involve any written examination. Instead, a system-generated merit list will be used, based on the percentage of marks obtained in the 10th standard, calculated up to four decimal places. Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and, if required, a basic medical fitness test.

  6. Save a copy of the application for future reference.
