Soon after, Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and criticised the Prime Minister for not directly addressing the students' demand to postpone the upcoming JEE NEET 2020 exams. The Wayanad MP wrote, "JEE-NEET aspirants wanted the PM do ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ but the PM did ‘Khilone Pe Charcha’". Students from all over the country have been pleading to the union government to postpone the competitive exams further considering the Coronavirus situation. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy had also written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi citing 13 reasons why the exams should be postponed.
