Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' has asked the National Testing Agency (NTA) to review the current situation and draw up a fresh syllabus for exams such as JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021, based on board exam syllabi.

JEE Main, NEET 2021: For the year 2021, the National Testing Agency (NTA) can change the syllabus of JEE Main and NEET 2021 exam. The change in the syllabus will be released in the next few days. The NTA conducts several examinations including JEE Main, NEET, CIMAT, GPAT, UGC NET. After the Union education minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' held a review meeting earlier this week, there were certain announcements in which the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been asked to draw up a fresh syllabus for exams such as JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021, based on board exam syllabi. Here's How To Check Your Scores On Official Website The minister also mentioned that engineering course will be taught in the mother-tongue starting from next year, and the University Grants Commission has been directed to ensure the timely disbursal of scholarships and fellowships. During the meeting, it was decided that the NTA will issue a fresh syllabus for the exams -JEE Main 2021 for engineering and NEET 2021 for medicine -- "after assessment of the existing scenario in various boards". It is important to note that NTA has announced to conduct JEE Main exam in nine regional languages besides Hindi and English languages in October. However, the IIT has not yet decided that it will also conduct the JEE Main Advanced exam in regional languages. Most state and central school education boards, including the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), have reduced their board exam syllabi owing to the pandemic. Also, the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) will be conducted next year in February instead of January. The aim behind pushing the exam to February is to provide a chance to students who were not satisfied with the choice of the branch or their score. IITs have also given a chance to students who could not take JEE Advanced this year due to the Covid-19 to reappear directly for the exam in 2021. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2021) is a computer-based test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year for admission to 31 National Institute of Technology (NITs), 25 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), and 28 Government Funded Technical Institutes. Candidates can appear for either one or both entrance examinations
