IISER Admissions 2023: IAT 2023 Registrations To Begin April 15, Exam On June 17

Interested candidates will be able to apply for the IAT 2023 from April 15 onwards, on the official website - iiseradmission.in.

The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research have announced the schedule for the IAT 2023 (IISER Aptitude Test 2023). The schedule for the IAT 2023 has been announced on the official IISER Admissions website - iiseradmission.in. 

As per the official schedule, the IAT 2023 Application process will begin from April 15, 2023, and the IAT 2023 Exam will be held on June 17, 2023. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply for IAT 2023 on the official website, once the application window opens. 

While submitting their IAT 2023 Applications, candidates will also be required to pay an application fee of Rs 2,000. However, SC/ST/PwD and Kashmiri migrant candidates will be required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000.

Notably, the IISER Aptitude Test is a national-level entrance test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research for admissions into their flagship undergraduate courses in sciences. The courses offered by IISERs through the IAT are a 5-year BS-MS programme and a 4-year BS in Engineering Sciences and Economic Sciences, offered by IISER Bhopal. 

IAT 2023: Exam Overview

The IAT 2023 Exam will be conducted in the online CBT Computer-Based Test) on June 17, 2023, at designated centres across the country. The exam paper will have a total of 60 questions with 15 questions spread across four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. The maximum time limit for the exam will be 180 minutes. Each correct answer shall award candidates 4 marks, while every wrong response shall lead to a deduction of 1 mark. 

IAT 2023: Eligibility Criteria

To apply for IAT 2023, interested candidates should either have completed their Class 12 in 2022, or are appearing for their Class 12 exams with the Science stream in 2023. Also, in their class 12, candidates must have studied a combination of three subjects amongst Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
