IGNOU Revises Admission Norms For MBA Banking And Finance Program - Check Details

Candidates wishing to seek admission in IGNOU’s MBA Banking and Finance program will not be required to produce CAIIB certification and a working experience of 2 years, as per the revised norms.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has revised the admission norms for its MBA Banking and Finance program. As per the revised criteria, candidates seeking admission into the IGNOU MBA Banking and Finance course will no longer be required to have a CAIIB certification and a working experience of 2 years experience in the banking and financial sector. With the admission norms being relaxed, candidates who have completed their graduation with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) will now be eligible to take admissions in IGNOU’s MBA Banking and Finance Program. 

The IGNOU Regional Centre Ahmedabad announced the revision in the admission criteria through its official twitter handle today. “The eligibility for admission to MBA Banking and Finance has been revised. Now no need for Banking experience and no need for CAIIB. New Eligibility- Passed Bachelor Degree Of Minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks-45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category,” reads the tweet.

Notably, developed and supported by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF), the MBA Banking and Finance is a key management program offered by the IGNOU. The university offers the program in the open as well as distance education modes. Candidates who wish to seek admission in the program can register themselves on the official IGNOU Admissions website - ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Notably, earlier last week, the IGNOU extended the fresh and re-registration deadline for its July 2023 session till July 31, 2023. Interested and eligible candidates who are yet to submit their registration cum application forms for IGNOU Admissions 2023 for the July 2023 session are advised to do the same on the official website. 

Interested candidates must note that at the time of registration, candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee along with the programme fee for first year/semester, for the specific programme a candidate wishes to enroll in. In case of cancellation/withdrawal of registrations/applications, the request for the refund of registration fee shall be processed as per university policies.
