IGNOU Admissions 2023: Registration Deadline For January 2023 Session Extended Till February 28 - See Details

The last date to register for IGNOU January Session 2023 Admissions is February 28. Interested candidates can register online on the official website - ignou.ac.in.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for fresh admissions for the January 2023 session till February 28, 2023. Candidates interested in taking up ODL and online programs by IGNOU can register themselves on the official portal - ignou.ac.in. 

Besides extending the fresh admissions deadline for the January 2023 session, the IGNOU has also revised the deadline for re-registrations till February 28, with a late fee of Rs 200. An official notice released on IGNOU’s official website, announced the extension of the registration deadline. 

Admission link for Online Programmes ODL and Merit Based ODL Programmes for January 2023 date extended till 28th February 2023,” read the official notice on IGNOU’s website. “The last date of Registration for the January 2023 session has been extended till 28th February 2023, with late fee of Rs 200,” read another notice.

While registering for a fresh course in IGNOU from the January 2023 session, candidates are advised to carefully go through the instructions mentioned on the IGNOU Registrations portal - ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The official IGNOU Registration portal has also notified that, “In a particular admission cycle, facility for fee exemption available to SC/ST students can be claimed for one programme only. If an applicant submits more than one application claiming fee exemption, all the applications shall be rejected.”

Moreover, at the time of registration, candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee along with the programme fee for first year/semester, for the specific programme a candidate wishes to enroll in. In case of cancellation/withdrawal of registrations/applications, the request for the refund of registration fee shall be processed as per university policies.   • Visit the official IGNOU website - ignou.ac.in
  • On the homepage, click on ‘Fresh Admission’ from the drop down menu under the ‘Register Online’ tab
  • Click on ‘New registration’
  • Login to the portal again and fill in the application form with all required details
  • Pay the application fee online and submit the form
  • Download the application confirmation page for reference
