Haryana Govt Revises School Timings From November 15 Amid Rising Pollution And Temperature Dip

All single and double-shift schools across Haryana have been asked to comply with the revised school timings from November 15.

The Directorate of Education, Haryana, has revised the operational timings for all schools in the state from November 15. As per the revised schedule, all single-shift schools in Haryana will now operate from 09:30 am to 03:30 pm. The double-shift schools on the other hand will now operate from 7:55 am to 12:30 pm in the first shift, and from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm in the second shift.

The Department of Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture, Haryana (DIPR Haryana), shared an official notice from the Directorate of Education, Haryana, on X (formerly Twitter) today, announcing the revision in school timings. “Haryana Government has changed the timings of schools from November 15, 2023 and has fixed the timings of single shift schools from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. In double shift schools, the first shift will be from 7:55 am to 12:30 pm while the second shift will be from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm,” the DIPR said in its post on X.

The move comes at a time when the school education across the National Capital Region including Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad has majorly shifted to the online amidst severe air pollution in the national capital region. Notably, amid the severe plus pollution in various parts of Delhi-NCR, the Haryana Govt earlier this week, asked all deputy commissioners in the national capital region to assess the pollution situation and decide on closing on schools accordingly to safeguard school-going children from being exposed to severe pollution.
