Delhi Govt Increases Free NEET, JEE Coaching Seats For Girls; Know Who Can Apply

Delhi boosts girl's NEET, JEE coaching seats by 100 under CM's scheme, ensuring affordable access to top institutes.

New Delhi: Delhi Education Minister Atishi announced on Wednesday that the AAP government has decided to increase the number of seats for girls by 100 under the 'Chief Minister's Super Talented Students Coaching Scheme.' This initiative offers free coaching for NEET and JEE exams to students from city-run schools.

During an interaction with beneficiaries of the scheme, Atishi emphasised that students in Delhi government schools should strive to achieve their dreams, assuring them that high coaching fees will never stand in their way.

Currently, 300 students from classes nine and eleven in Delhi government schools are selected each year for free JEE and NEET coaching at top institutes, as reported by news agency PTI. To further support female students, an additional 100 seats will be made available for girls from the next session, according to the official statement.

Grateful for the initiative, students expressed their relief at no longer needing to worry about expensive coaching fees for medical and engineering entrance exams. "The hefty coaching fees were a major barrier in our journey to become doctors and engineers, but this scheme has lifted that burden," said one student, as quoted in the statement.
