Noida: 3 Men Of Same Family Held For Rape, Forced Religious Conversion Of Woman, Says Report
According to the report, the accused Intezar Khan, and the woman met in a gym where she worked as a manager, but the man kept his religious identity hidden from her.
A 30-year-old Muslim man was arrested near Noida on Thursday in connection with the alleged rape and attempted religious conversion bid on a woman on the pretext of marriage, news agency PTI reported quoting police.
According to police, his brother (24) and father (52) were also arrested for participating in a criminal plot, as per the report.
The report quoted a senior police officer stating that the accused Intezar Khan and the woman met in a gym where she worked as a manager, but the man kept his religious identity hidden from her.
According to the official, the woman filed a complaint at the Bisrakh police station alleging rape, violence, and forced religious conversion, as per the report.
"The complainant informed the police that she came across Intezar at a gym in the Shahberi area. Intezar had initially hid his identity from her and identified himself as 'Sonu'. She also alleged rape with her by the accused. Immediately an FIR was lodged under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code as well as under the Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Act," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida) Saad Miya Khan was quoted as saying by PTI.

"The three accused have been arrested: Intezar Khan, (his brother) Suhail, and (their father) Abbas Ali," Khan added.
According to the police, Intezar enticed the woman with the promise of marriage.
According to the authorities, he recently poisoned her juice and raped her.

According to the police, the FIR was filed under IPC sections 376 (rape), 323 (assault), 328 (causing harm by poison), 342 (wrongful confinement), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 120B (party in criminal conspiracy).
