In First Move After SC Verdict, Kejriwal Govt Removes Services Secretary Ashish More
The Services department was under the control of Delhi's Lieutenant Governor before the verdict was pronounced by the Supreme Court.
Hours after the Supreme Court gave control over transfer-posting of officers to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) dispensation on Thursday, the Delhi government removed Services department secretary Ashish More from his post, reported PTI.
Earlier in the day, the apex court pronounced that the Delhi government has legislative and executive powers over administration of services except for matters relating to public order, police and land.
After the verdict Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called a press conference and said there will be a major administrative reshuffle in the government, and warned of action against officers who "obstructed" public works.

The opposition BJP, however, said it respects the Supreme Court verdict that gave the AAP government legislative and executive powers over the administration of services.
But it also claimed that the decision will lead to large-scale transfers of officers in the Delhi government.
"We respect the Supreme Court verdict. Kejriwal has obtained what he was desperately looking for. He said there will be large-scale transfers of officers in his government which means that a transfer-posting industry will come up in Delhi," Sachdeva said in a statement, according to PTI.
The BJP leader also alleged that the transfers will not be done on the basis of their capabilities but on how obedient they are to the Chief Minister.
"I fear there could be incidents of misbehavior with officers and they will be pressured as the power will be in the hands of the government," the BJP leader further claimed.
Kejriwal, during a press conference today said that the speed of work in the national capital will increase manifold following the judgement.
