Four Wrestlers Hospitalised After Assault in Gurugram, 11 Booked By Police | On Cam

New Delhi: Two men and their aides allegedly attacked a few wrestlers with sticks while they were practicing in an academy here on Tuesday morning, leaving four of them injured, police said. The dispute stemmed from a previous dispute involving one of the wrestlers, Police added.
The injured victims were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, while the assailants, residents of Shikohpur village, managed to flee.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against 11 identified individuals along with others who remain unidentified, marking a significant development in the ongoing investigation by the Kherki Daula police station, they said.
According to wrestler Lokesh's complaint, two individuals on a motorcycle blocked his path while he was on his way from his home to the Nav Shakti Academy in Naurangpur around 6 am.
A confrontation ensued between them and after some time, the men, along with their associates, reached the academy and allegedly thrashed Lokesh and other wrestlers with sticks, they said. They even threatened to kill us, Lokesh said in his complaint.

Among the victims of this vicious attack, four wrestlers from the academy. Rajbir, Roshan, Jeetu, and Lokesh sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment in hospital.
In response to Lokesh's complaint, "FIR was registered against 11 named and other unidentified persons under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code on Tuesday evening", Kherki Daula SHO Bijender Singh said.
"Different teams have been formed and raids are being conducted at the hideouts of the accused. Efforts are being made to arrest them", the SHO added.
