Delhi Weather: Cold Wave Prevails As Fog Engulfs Capital, 26 Trains Delayed
As the national capital reeled under a cold wave, people were seen resorting to bonfire in a bid to keep themselves warm.
Delhi Weather Update: A layer of fog covered the national capital on Wednesday as the city continued to witness a cold wave following a dip in temperature.

The Indian Railways has said that 26 trains are running late in the Delhi area due to fog.

In the visuals shared by ANI, people were seen sitting by the bonfire in a bid to keep themselves warm amid the cold wave conditions as the temperature dipped further in the city.

As North India continues to reel under the cold wave conditions in North India, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday that moderate to dense fog cover was observed over parts of the region, including Punjab, Haryana, and central parts of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the weather office, visibility in the areas was reduced due to the fog cover late Tuesday evening. Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly recorded the lowest visibility at 25. 'Very dense' fog is when visibility is between 0 and 50 meters, 51 and 200 meters is 'dense', 201 and 500 meters 'moderate', and 501 and 1,000 meters 'shallow.'

Taking to X, the IMD said that at 11:30 pm on Tuesday, very dense fog enveloped isolated pockets of West Uttar Pradesh, and dense fog was over isolated pockets of East Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan.
