The minimum temperature in Delhi settled at 16.4 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 35 degrees Celsius.

As the winter season approaches, the minimum temperature in the national capital on Thursday dipped five notches below the season's average to settle at 16.4 degrees Celsius. As per the weather department, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 35 degrees Celsius, as reported by the news agency PTI. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) at 9 am stood at 203.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'. The relative humidity at 8.30 am was 74 per cent, the IMD bulletin said. Earlier, the IMD predicted rainfall in various regions of South and North West India until October 15.

Meanwhile, several parts of Bengaluru witnessed waterlogging on Tuesday after heavy rainfall lashed Karnataka's capital yesterday. In Bengaluru's Bellandur area, heavy downpour caused severe waterlogging on the roads which resulted in a three-kilometer-long traffic jam. Waterlogging was also witnessed in Manyata Tech Park, Seshadripuram.

In this regard, Bengaluru Traffic Police had issued an advisory and said that it is working tirelessly to resolve the situation. "Due to waterlogging near Bellanduru Kodi, vehicles and commuters were stuck in the midst of the flood. With the assistance of a tractor, our Inspector sir and team successfully rescued all commuters and pedestrians," HAL airport traffic police BTP posted on X.

Advising commuters to avoid the route, Traffic police said, "Still this route is not in a condition to use for commuters so please avoid this route and use Outer Ring Road as an alternative." IMD said that rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South interior Karnataka whereas dry weather prevailed over North interior Karnataka, as reported by the news agency ANI.
