'Hope No Scam Takes Place': BJP Takes Swipe At AAP After It Announces 'Sundar Kand' Recitations

Manoj Tiwari slammed AAP Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, saying he supports the I.N.D.I.A. Alliance that talks ill about Lord Ram and Sanatan Dharma.

New Delhi: After Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced 'Sunderkand' recitations across Delhi temples, BJP leader Manoj Tiwari on Monday took a swipe at the party, saying he is worried that "no scam will happen during this event." He said that he hopes no scam takes place during the 'Sunderkand' recitation programme.

He further slammed AAP Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, saying he supports the I.N.D.I.A. Alliance that talks ill about Lord Ram and Sanatan Dharma.

"...The INDI alliance parties talk ill about Lord Ram and Sanatan Dharma and Arvind Kejriwal supports them... It is good that they are organising a 'Sunderkand Paath', but I'm worried that no scam will happen during this event. Who knows where will the money come from, and whose money will they use... Even though people of Delhi and India have seen their anti-Sanatan face, it is good that they're scared of the people," the BJP MP said.

“AAP and Arvind Kejriwal have realised that their anti-Sanatan face has been revealed. Many members of the INDIA Alliance insult the Sanatan Dharma and Kejriwal cordially meets them and is a part of their alliance. I hope in this ‘Sundar Kand’, no scam takes place,” he added.

AAP will organise recitations of the 'Sundarkand', a chapter from the Ramayana, across all the 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi on Tuesday, party leader and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said.

"The Sundar Kand recitation programme will begin on Tuesday at all assembly constituencies. It will be held every Tuesday at the zonal level, on every second and last Tuesday of the month at the ward level and every first Tuesday of the month at the assembly constituency level", news agency PTI quoted Saurabh Bharadwaj as saying.

According to the news agency ANI, the AAP leader also said, "We invite the general public also to it... Soon, at around 2600 places, Sunder Kand Path and Hanuman Chalisa would be organised".

The announcement comes ahead of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has not yet received any formal invitation for the 'pran pratishtha' ceremony, sources in the AAP told PTI.

The CM, however, received a letter a few days back informing that he should block his dates and that a formal invite along with details would follow, reported PTI.
