'Urge UP Govt To Not Send Polluted Water To Delhi': Atishi Says Arrangements Made For Chhath At 1,000 Ghats
Speaking on the arrangements for Chhath in the national capital, AAP leader Atishi Marlena said that the Delhi government has made 1000 Chhath ghats across Delhi.
Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi Marlena said on Thursday that the Delhi government has made 1000 Chhath ghats across Delhi. Speaking to ANI, Atishi took a swipe at previous Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party governments in the state and said, "I don't think 100 ghats used to be made across Delhi for Chhath." She further said, "I would like to urge the Uttar Pradesh government to not send its polluted water to Delhi."
Atishi also questioned the BJP and Congress governments in different states and said, "I would like to ask Congress and BJP governments, what arrangements for Chhath do you make in states ruled by you?"
"When there were BJP and Congress governments here, I don't think 100 ghats used to be made across Delhi for Chhath. Today, there are more than 1000 Chhath ghats across Delhi...This has been done by the Arvind Kejriwal government. I would like to ask Congress and BJP governments, what arrangements for Chhath do you make in states ruled by you?," the AAP leader said, as quoted by ANI.

On cleaning of river Yamuna ahead of Chhath, Atishi said, "To remove that (toxic foam), sprinkling of food-grade chemicals and enzymes is being done there. The sprinkling team started the sprinkling work on 10 boats last night. In the next two days, the toxic foam will completely vanish...But I would like to urge the Uttar Pradesh government to not send its polluted water to Delhi."
