MCD Election 2022 Live: Delhi State Election Commissioner (SEC) Vijay Dev on November 4 announced dates for the long-due Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls. Delhi State Election Commission announced that voting for unified three municipal corporations - East Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation and North Delhi Municipal Corporation - into one MCD will be held on December 4. Counting of the votes will be held on December 7 and the results will be announced the same day.

1. Saraswati Vihar: In the Shakur Basti Delhi assembly constituency, Saraswati Vihar is ward number fifty-eight in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 63,630. The Saraswati Vihar (Ward 58) MCD seat is reserved for women.

2. Paschim Vihar: In the Shakur Basti Delhi assembly constituency, Paschim Vihar is ward number fifty-nine in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 67,423. The Paschim Vihar (Ward 59) MCD seat is unreserved.
