'CM Denied Basic Facilities, Monitored 24 Hours': AAP's Big Charge Of 'Torture On Kejriwal' Against PMO, L-G
Expressing dismay at the reported conditions of jailed Delhi CM, AAP MP Singh said that the Tihar jail has become a “torture chamber” for Arvind Kejriwal.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh on Thursday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, raising concerns over the reported “surveillance” on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar jail. In a letter, Singh alleged that Kejriwal is purportedly under constant scrutiny by the LG officer through CCTV cameras. He further alleged that “gathered information” was relayed to the Prime Minister’s Officer (PMO).

Expressing dismay at the reported conditions of jailed Delhi CM, Singh said that the Tihar jail has become a “torture chamber” for Arvind Kejriwal.
“Tihar Jail has been turned into a torture chamber for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. It has been revealed from reliable sources that Kejriwal ji is being monitored 24 hours by the LG office through CCTV cameras and all this information is being sent to the Prime Minister's Office,” Singh said in a letter addressed to PM Modi.
“After all why are you doing all this? Why is the three-time elected Chief Minister being treated inhumanely? After all, what is the crime of Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal ji?” he added further.
This comes in the wake of a violent altercation that occurred inside the Tihar jail’s premises and further resulted in four prisoners sustaining injuries earlier this week. Earlier today, Singh had claimed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, currently incarcerated and lodged in Tihar jail, "is in danger" citing this incident.

Imploring PM Modi to intervene, the AAP MP said, “Therefore, you are requested that this kind of conduct with the Chief Minister elected by mandate is against the dignity and system of a democratic country like India. This should be stopped immediately.”
“The people of Delhi love him very much and consider him as their brother and their son. Do not cause pain to the people of Delhi. If you can't take special care of them then let them live like a normal human being,” he said in his letter.
