3 School-Going Boys Who Went To Take Bath In Yamuna In Delhi Feared Drowned

.A search operation has been initiated to find the three school-going kids who are feared drowned after they went to take a bath in the Yamuna River in Delhi.

Three schoolgoing boys who went to take a bath in Yamuna river in North Delhi's Alipur area are now feared to have drowned, said a police official on Sunday. A search operation has been initiated to find the boys. As per police officials, they received a PCR call at 7:52 pm on Saturday in which the callers said that three boys, namely- Rishu, Shivam and Rupesh, all residents of Singhu village, left their home saying they were going towards Yamuna River at 9.30 am on bicycles, but did not return till evening.

A senior police official told news agency PTI that during verification it was found that the three boys left with their friends Shubham and Parvesh, however, the two groups went separate ways thereafter. The families of all five were called and an extensive search operation was also conducted near the river but the boys weren't found. Soon after, a case under section 363 (punishment for kidnapping) of the IPC was lodged at Alipur police station on the statement of the father of one of the children, reported PTI.

The police official said at around 1:45 am, another call was received at Alipur station in which the caller said that only two out of the five kids that went to Yamuna returned and three drowned near Shank Number-4.

Based on the information received, a search was again made near the area and the bicycles of the children were found there. The police took the help of the rescue team to make an intensive search in and around Yamuna River, but no clue was found. As per the police official, efforts to locate the children are still ongoing.
