'Hit On Head, Strangulated With Leash': Chilling Details Of Delhi Doctor's Cold-Blooded Killing

Yogesh Chandra Paul, an elderly physician in southeast Delhi's Jangpura extension was found dead at his home on Friday.

Chilling details were revealed about the cold-blooded murder of an elderly physician in southeast Delhi's Jangpura Extension, by the Delhi Police, who was found dead in his home on Friday. The investigation into the murder revealed that he was brutally tortured and had been hit on the head with a blunt object before being strangulated with a leash, said the officials on Saturday, as per a PTI report. 

Yogesh Chandra Paul, 63, was found dead in his home in Jangpura Extension on Friday with his hands tied, the officials added. 

The CCTV footage obtained by the police near Paul's house showed four suspects, of which one stood outside while three entered the house, said a police officer aware of the investigation. 

As per the officer, the accused beat up Paul, gagged him and tied him to a chair. Then they dragged the chair with Paul tied to it to the kitchen where they hit him on the head with a blunt object and strangulated him with a dog leash.

The accused had locked Paul's two dogs in the bathroom. They also ransacked the house before fleeing, the report added.

A case of murder and robbery has been lodged by the police and are investigating it from various angles, as per the report. 

"We have not ruled out the possibility of some insider or someone known to Paul being involved," the officer said. 

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Rajesh Deo said the investigation is at a crucial stage, adding they have strong leads. Raids are being conducted at various locations to nab the accused.

Neena Paul, a doctor at a Delhi government hospital was at work when her husband was murdered. One of their daughters live in Canada while other is in Noida.
