Customer Asks For Extra Curd For Biryani, Gets Killed By Hotel Worker In Hyderabad
The man was attacked by hotel workers for asking extra curd for biryani. He went to the police station to lodge a complaint where he collapsed and was taken to a hospital but succumbed.
An argument over extra curd for biryani led to the murder of a customer allegedly by the staff of a hotel in Hyderabad. The incident took place at Meridian restaurant in Punjagutta in the heart of the city late on Sunday night, as per a report by IANS. Liyaqat, who was having dinner at the restaurant around midnight was attacked by the employees of the hotel during a heated argument after the customer demanded extra curd with biryani. The injured customer went to Panjagutta Police Station to lodge a complaint.
While speaking to the policemen, he collapsed following which the police shifted him to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the report added.
The victim’s body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for autopsy.
Following the incident, Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLC Mirza Rahmat Baig Quadri reached the hospital and demanded justice for the victim’s family.
A case has been registered against the accused and a police probe is underway.

Last month, a nine-year-old boy was seriously injured after an auto-rickshaw driver attacked him with a knife in Rajiv Gruh Kalpa under the limits of Jagadgirigutta police station in the city.
The minor, identified as Aditya, was playing outside his house when the accused approached him and attacked him with a knife.
In June, a man allegedly slit the throat of a 22-year-old software engineer after she rejected his marriage proposal. The woman was hospitalised with serious injuries. The incident occurred in Puppalaguda under the limits of Narsingi police station.
According to an IANS report, the man named Ganesh who works as a food delivery boy, wanted to marry the victim, who also happens to be his relative. However, the woman, who hailed from Piduguralla in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh, rejected his proposal.
