Work From Home Announced For Kashmiri Pandit Govt Employees In 2 J&K Districts After Pahalgam Attack
Baisaran, about six kilometres from the resort town of Pahalgam, where the terror attack happened, comes under the Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Two districts in Jammu and Kashmir has announced work from home for all Kashmiri Pandit employees day after the Pahalgam attack, which killed 26 people on Tuesday.
Anantnag and Baramulla districts in Jammu and Kashmir have directed the Kashmiri Pandit employees to work from home with immediate effect.
Baisaran, about six kilometres from the resort town of Pahalgam, where the terror attack happened, comes under the Anantnag district.
Baramulla's Chief Education Officer (CEO) announced that the PM Package employees in Kashmir shall work from home this week. Kashmiri Pandit migrants are mostly employed under this scheme.
"All employees engaged under the PM Package are hereby directed to work from home for the duration of this week with immediate effect up to Sunday (i.e. 27-04-2025)," the order read.
After Baramulla, the Chief Education Officer issued an order stating, "All the PM Package employees of this District are directed to work from home w.e.f. 24.04.2025, till further orders."
J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has convened an all-party meeting on Thursday. The centre has also called an all-party meeting, which will be chaired by Union Minister Rajnath Singh.
Meanwhile. a wave of protests swept Jammu and Kashmir and other states on Wednesday against the Pahalgam massacre, with political parties as well as religious and social organisations asserting that such acts were against Islamic teachings and calling for unity in the face of the challenge posed by terrorists and their backers.
The iconic clock tower popularly known as 'Ghanta Ghar' in Srinagar became the centre of protests as political parties including NC and PDP took out marches from their office which culminated at the historic square at Lal Chowk.
India has also downgraded diplomatic ties with Pakistan and announced a raft of measures including expulsion of Pakistani military attaches, suspension of the over six-decade-old Indus Water Treaty and immediate shutting down of the Attari land-transit post in view of the cross-border links to the Pahalgam terror attack.
