A swarm of bees attacked the employees at the Haryana Secretariat on Tuesday afternoon. A total of six persons, including four CISF jawans were injured in this bee attack. The sudden attack sparked panic on the premises. A seriously injured jawan had to be rushed to the MLA hostel dispensary in Chandigarh for treatment.

Complaints were reportedly made earlier regarding the possibility of attacks by bees, but no action was taken on this.

The incident occurred at around 1 PM. CISF jawans were carrying out security checks at the main gate of the secretariat when a swarm of bees attacked the jawans. There was utter chaos all around as everyone at the spot tried to flee to save their lives and entered the office.

The jawans, however, could not leave their post and stood there on guard. They were seen trying to fend off the bees by swatting the insects.

Local media reports stated that the condition of one jawan was serious in the attack. He was immediately rushed to the hospital by ambulance. A policeman was seen trying to shake off the bees by waving his jacket. Another man was seen sitting on the ground and covering his head with his jacket.

The jawan whose condition was critical has been admitted to the MLA Hostel Dispensary in Chandigarh. According to the doctors, there is no danger to his life. It is taking time to remove the stings. The doctors said his condition was stable.
