UP Woman Accuses Husband & In-Laws Of Unnatural Sex & Foeticide
A woman in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi accused her husband and in-laws of unnatural sex, dowry demands, and foeticide.

A woman filed a complaint against her husband and in-laws in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi, on Thursday. She alleged forced unnatural sex, dowry demands and foeticide in her complaint.
According to PTI, in her complaint, the 32-year-old woman filed at a women's police station and she accused her husband and his family of severe physical and mental abuse. The husband works with the Central Water Commission.
Police have launched a probe against the husband and his family under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Dowry Prohibition Act.
The couple got married in 2017, and they live together in Lucknow. Her in-laws, including her husband's parents, brother and sister, frequently visited them, Bhadohi Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhimanyu Manglik, as per a PTI report.
She alleged that despite giving “substantial dowry”, her husband and in-law further demanded a car and “subjected her to physical and mental torture”. She claims after she became pregnant, her husband “performed unnatural sexual acts with her against her will”, the SP said.
In her complaint, the woman explained that her husband kicked her several time in the stomach multiple times in September last year when she was pregnant. She reportedly suffered a miscarriage caused by excessive bleeding.

Hyderabad Techie Dies Over Dowry Harassment
Earlier this month, a 25-year-old software professional was found dead at her residence in Hyderabad’s Prashanti Hills, Raidurgam, in an alleged case of dowry harassment. The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with her husband, Sharath Chandra, faces serious charges.
The deceased Devika and Sharath Chandra had been married for just six months, after tying the knot in Goa. Her family said that the woman endured persistent physical and mental abuse from her husband, who allegedly pressured her for additional dowry. He reportedly demanded to transfer the ownership of a house in her name to his name.
Sharath Chandra discovered her body the next morning and immediately informed both the authorities and her family. Based on a formal complaint filed by Devika’s mother, the Raidurgam police registered a case under dowry harassment laws and launched a thorough investigation.
