3 Street Dogs Trapped In Net, Beaten To Death, Video Sparks Outrage
Numerous animal welfare activists have filed complaints with the police, urging action against the perpetrators. However, as of Wednesday evening, no legal action has been initiated.
A group of three men reportedly trapped and brutally beat four street dogs with sticks, resulting in the deaths of three dogs, including a pregnant one. The attack which took place in the Jawaharnagar city in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Tuesday was captured on video.
The footage quickly spread online and ignited widespread outrage among animal rights activists. Officials stated that the motive behind the attack is still unknown. Of the four dogs, three died at the scene, while the fourth was left severely injured with one eye visibly damaged. The injured dog has since been taken for treatment.
According to a report by NDTV, numerous animal welfare activists have filed complaints with the police, urging action against the perpetrators. However, as of Wednesday evening, no case had been registered, nor had any legal action been initiated.

The incident comes amid rising concerns over street dog attacks across Telangana, which have led to calls for stricter measures. In July, the Telangana High Court intervened, asking the state government for an action plan to manage the situation after a spike in dog-related incidents.
A four-year-old boy lost her life after he was bitten by a street dog at Raipole village in Rangareddy in August. In a similar incident that occurred in the same month where an elderly woman was killed by a pack of street dogs. Later, they ate parts of her body, in Rajanna Sircilla district.
Abandoned Pet Dog Attacks Over 30 People In Hubballi
In a separate incident, more than 30 people were attacked and bitten by a rabid pet dog on Monday afternoon (October 29), causing chaos and fear in the Akshay Park area on Gokula Road in Hubballi, Karnataka. Among the injured, over 16 faced severe bite wounds and were admitted to KIMS Hospital for treatment, as reported by IANS. The victims included schoolchildren, factory workers, daily wage earners, elderly people, and other passersby.
The pet dog, which was later confirmed to have been abandoned by its owner after it turned rabid, still had its collar and chain when it was captured. The dog went on a rampage on the busy Gokula Road, biting people mostly on their legs and thighs. The intensity of the bites caused bleeding in many victims, leading to scenes of chaos at the hospital where the injured arrived in blood-soaked clothes.
