'Like Draupadi Had 5 Husbands...': RLP's Hanuman Beniwal Targets Congress Over Leadership Rift

During a protest demanding cancellation of the SI exam, RLP chief Hanuman Beniwal sharply criticised Congress's internal power struggles.

Nagaur MP and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) chief Hanuman Beniwal launched a scathing attack on the Congress during a protest at Jaipur’s Shaheed Smarak, where he was demanding the cancellation of the SI recruitment exam.

Taking sharp digs at the internal power struggle within the Congress, Beniwal mocked the party’s leadership confusion with biting sarcasm. “Ashok Gehlot thinks he’s the groom, Sachin Pilot believes the same, and even the ‘towel man’—Govind Singh Dotasra—isn’t far behind,” he quipped.

'No One in Congress Knows...'

Continuing with his jibes, Beniwal remarked, “No one in Congress knows who the real groom is. Gehlot says he’s the groom, Pilot claims the same, Dotasra says so too, and even Jooli is in the race. When five people claim to be the groom, who gets the ticket?”

'Congress Has Become Like Draupadi'

In a comment that drew laughter from those present at the protest, Beniwal likened the Congress’s internal state to that of Draupadi from the Mahabharata. “Draupadi had five husbands. Now, Congress is in the same condition,” he said.

Beniwal didn’t stop at satire. He accused the Congress of betrayal during their previous alliance, alleging that the party pretended to work with RLP only to later plot its weakening. He held former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, and state party president Govind Singh Dotasra responsible for the alleged conspiracy.

'Congress Tried to Weaken Me'

In a recent television interview, Beniwal further claimed that Congress attempted to undermine him both politically and personally by luring his brother, Ummedar Beniwal, into the party fold. “If the Congress thinks it has become stronger, it will face a reality check in the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections,” he warned.

Beniwal’s fiery remarks have once again stirred the political landscape in Rajasthan, with his barbed humour and serious accusations sparking both amusement and debate.
