Who Is Raj Kushwaha? Sonam's 'Lover' And 'Mastermind' Of Raja Raghuvanshi Murder

Sonam Raghuvanshi, wife of murdered businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, has surrendered in Ghazipur in the murder case. A shocking affair angle has emerged even as the police probe deepens.

The Raja Raghuvanshi murder case has gained nationwide attention. In the chain of events that are now being revealed in police investigations, a shocking tale of cold-blooded plotting, affair, and betrayal is coming to the fore.

Raja's widow, Sonam Raghuvanshi, surrendered to the police in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. The couple had mysteriously vanished together from Shillong, Meghalaya, only for Raja's lifeless body to be discovered during an extensive police search. Until recently, Sonam's whereabouts remained a mystery.

According to initial reports, police questioning has revealed that Sonam might have been involved in an extramarital affair. This revelation has sparked intense speculation around her possible connection to Raja's murder.

Citing ANI sources, investigators have identified one Raj Kushwaha as a key figure in the probe. Raja's brother, Vipin Raghuvanshi, has gone on record suggesting that Sonam could have had a role in the killing. More explosive is Sonam's own confession, which reportedly confirms her affair with Raj, as per police sources. However, police have not yet issued an official statement on the matter, leaving many questions unanswered.

Raj Kushwaha allegedly planned the murder and was in constant contact with Sonam till the murder. Raj Kushwaha was reportedly in the employment of Sonam.

Four people were arrested in the case: two from Indore and one from Uttar Pradesh. Sonam Raghuvanshi surrendered in Ghazipur and is currently in the custody of UP Police. The Meghalaya government said that the UP and Meghalaya police conducted a joint operation and arrested them.

The suspects identified so far are Aakash Rajput (19), Vishal Singh Chauhan (20), Raj Singh Kushwaha (21), Sonam Raghuvanshi, and Anand Kurmi (23).

My Daughter Is Innocent: Sonam's Father

Despite the swirling allegations, Sonam's father, Devi Singh, is standing firmly by her side. In an emotional statement, he said, "My daughter is innocent. I have complete faith in her. She could never harm her husband. All the accusations being made against her are false."

How Sonam Was Found In Ghazipur

Detailing the sequence of events that led to Sonam's discovery, Devi Singh explained that she made a phone call to her brother from a roadside eatery in Ghazipur. The dhaba owner then spoke to her brother, who immediately alerted the local police. Acting swiftly, officers reached the location and took Sonam into custody.

"I haven't been able to speak with my daughter yet," Singh added. "Why would she do something like this? She and Raja got married with the full consent of both families."
