Pune News: A drunk driver in Maharashtra's Pune left a trail of wreckage after he rammed his truck into a hotel on being denied food. The incident reportedly took place at Hotel Gokul in Indapur taluka of Pune on Friday night, a video of which is now being widely shared on social media.

In a video recorded by bystanders near the hotel, the driver, who was reportedly in an inebriated condition, can be seen repeatedly ramming his truck into the hotel building. He also hit a couple of parked vehicles in the process.

As per media reports, the driver was travelling from Solapur to Pune and stopped at the hotel on the busy Pune-Solapur Highway. He then went inside the hotel and asked for food, but the owner refused as the eatery was closed for the day, First Post reported.

The driver, who was already drunk, was reportedly enraged by this. He started his truck and started ramming the hotel building. A two-wheeler and two four-wheelers parked outside the hotel were also reportedly damaged in this incident.

Locals tried to intervene to stop the driver. In the video, some men were also seen throwing stones at the truck, asking the driver to stop the madness. The man eventually stopped the vehicle after the wheels of the truck ceased to move.

Meanwhile, the police later arrested the driver, and further investigation is underway.
