Noida Traffic Alert: VIP Movement To Affect Travellers, Check Routes To Avoid

Vice President Dhankhar will arrive in Noida on Monday, June 23, to inaugurate the Association of Indian Universities’ annual meet and the national conference of vice-chancellors at Amity University.

Commuters in Noida and Greater Noida are advised to brace for brief traffic disruptions on June 24 (Tuesday) as Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and other dignitaries are scheduled to visit the city for key academic events. The Noida traffic police issued an advisory on Sunday detailing temporary traffic restrictions on several major routes to facilitate the smooth movement of VIP convoys.

Vice President Dhankhar will arrive in Noida on Monday, June 23, to inaugurate the Association of Indian Universities’ annual meet and the national conference of vice-chancellors at Amity University.

List Of Affected Routes

Traffic officials confirmed that the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, the Sector 62 to Sector 18 elevated road, and the Delhi-Noida-Direct (DND) Flyway will see temporary halts during VIP movements. These restrictions are expected to start around 10 AM on both days and last for a short period, though exact timings may vary.

"To facilitate this, there will be traffic restrictions during VIP movement on the Noida Expressway, DND Flyway, and nearby areas," said Lakhan Singh Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Noida.

Authorities are urging commuters to avoid these high-traffic corridors during the restricted hours and use alternate routes where possible to prevent delays. With vice-chancellors and academicians from across India also expected to attend, traffic volumes on these roads may spike, officials warned.

Motorists are advised to check real-time updates via traffic police social media handles or navigation apps before planning their travel.
