Mumbai: A Mumbai man was left seriously injured after his gym trainer attacked him inside the gym in Mulund, hitting him on the head with an exercising equipment. The incident was captured on the gym's CCTV camera. Although the actual reason behind the attack is unknown, some reports suggest that the trainer was offended by some joke made against him by the victim, Yogesh Shinde.
Following the incident, the gym trainer was arrested after Shinde failed a complaint against him for attacking and seriously injuring him, NDTV reported.
As per a report by the Free Press Journal, the incident took place on July 17 at 6 pm at a gym named Fitness Intelligence Gym in Mumbai's Mulund East.
In the video of the incident, Shinde can be seen working out with the help of another trainer, while the accused is standing on the other end of the gym.
Shinde is talking to another gym member after which the three of them burst into a laughter.
Reacting to this, the gym trainer picks up the mugdar (club), and approaches Shinde, hitting him on the left side of his head.
The victim immediately sits down in shock and can be seen holding his head in pain, while other trainers rush to stop the attacker.

A mugdar is a heavy exercising equipment that wrestlers use for resistance training. It is a traditional Indian exercising tool, which is basically a bigger version of a dumbbell.
The Free Press Journal report also stated that Shinde underwent an MRI scan after being attacked, which showed that he had suffered two fractures on the left side of his skull.
The report also says that the name of the victim is Vilas Shinde while the name of the gym trainer is Dhawal.
Shinde told the police that there was no altercation between the two, and that the trainer had been staring at him before attacking him.
He said that he had just asked the trainer if he was doing the exercise properly, but instead of replying the latter approached him and suddenly attacked him, NDTV reported.
The police have registered a complaint in connection with the incident and the accused trainer has been arrested.
A prove into the matter in underway and the CCTV footage is being examined.
