Mumbai Hit & Run Case: Model Dies After Water Tanker Crashes Into Bike At High Speed In Bandra
A 25-year-old model, Shivani Singh, was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Mumbai's Bandra area.
Another case of hit-and-run has come to light in Mumbai. The latest incident occurred in the Bandra area on Friday night and claimed the life of a 25-year-old model. A water tanker allegedly hit a bike at high speed, which resulted in the death of the model, identified as Shivani Singh. The driver fled the spot after the accident.
The Bandra Police has registered a case against an unknown person and has launched a manhunt for the tanker driver. The police said that the water tanker crashed into the motorcycle and the driver fled immediately after the incident. The deceased, Shivani Singh, was a resident of Malad.

The police further said that Shivani and her friend had just got onto Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road in Bandra on a motorcycle around 8 PM when the tanker hit them at high speed. Shivani jumped off the two-wheeler but came under the wheel of the tanker, resulting in fatal injuries. She was taken to the nearby Bhabha Hospital, where the doctors declared her dead.
Police are examining the CCTV footage from the area to trace him.
Mumbai, of late, has become infamous for hit-and-run incidents. Since the Worli BMW hit-and-run case of July 2024 that killed a woman, there have been several similar incidents.
On November 30, a truck driver ran over a scooter in Mulund, killing a 30-year-old woman who was riding pillion. The truck driver fled the spot after the incident. The police have booked the 54-year-old accused.
A 17-year-old boy was killed on September 15 after a speeding car hit a bike, which the victim and his two friends were riding. The deceased Aditya Velankar suffered head injuries resulting in his death.
