Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle In Uttarakhand Ahead Of Panchayat Polls, 31 IAS Officers Moved

In a significant administrative reshuffle ahead of the upcoming panchayat elections, the Uttarakhand government late Thursday night transferred 31 IAS officers, 24 PCS officers, and 1 IFS officer, including the District Magistrates (DMs) of four districts. The decision was approved by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Key IAS Transfers In Uttarakhand
Ashish Chauhan, DM of Pauri, has been appointed CEO of UKADA and Director of Sports and Youth Welfare.
Swati S. Bhadauria, who was serving as Additional Secretary to the Governor and NHM Mission Director, has replaced Chauhan as DM of Pauri.
Navneet Pandey, DM of Champawat, has been assigned as Additional Secretary, Personnel.
Manish Kumar, CDO of Udham Singh Nagar, is the new DM of Champawat.
Saurabh Gaharwar, DM of Rudraprayag, becomes MD of SIDCUL and DG of Industries, replaced by Prateek Jain.
Mehrban Singh Bisht, DM of Uttarkashi, has been made Additional Secretary of Energy and Cooperation; Prashant Arya will replace him as DM.
Other key bureaucratic changes include reassignments of portfolios related to finance, irrigation, urban development, tourism, social welfare, and planning among senior secretaries such as Dilip Jawalkar, B.V.R.C. Purushottam, R. Rajesh Kumar, and Dheeraj Singh Garbyal.
PCS officer Bharat Singh Firmal has been moved from RFC Kumaon to Additional Secretary, Secretariat Services. Shiv Kumar Barnwal, Secretary of the Child Rights Commission, is now also Secretary of UKSSSC. Ramji Sharan Sharma, formerly Registrar of Ayurveda University, is now CDO of Almora. Several other PCS officers have been shifted across districts in roles such as ADM, CDO, Municipal Commissioners, and Deputy Collectors.
